Mme. Giry's Revelations

Mme. Giry is brought before the managers and reveals that she has been in contact with the ghost, who promised that her daughter Meg would become an empress. She also explains how she helped the ghost steal the twenty thousand francs by substituting envelopes. The managers are astounded by her story, but they are still unable to catch the ghost.
