The Managers' Strange Behavior

The managers, Richard and Moncharmin, are locked in their office and behave strangely, asking for a safety-pin and walking backward. The staff is bewildered, and the commissary, M. Mifroid, tries to get them to open the door. Eventually, they reveal that they have been robbed of twenty thousand francs by the ghost, and they are trying to prevent further theft.
