The Masked Ball Appointment

Raoul receives a note from Christine, asking him to come to the masked ball at the Opera in a white domino and to meet her in a small room behind the chimney-place. He goes, and a black domino leads him to a private box. There, Christine, still masked, warns him to be careful. They see a figure dressed as Red Death, which Raoul recognizes as the death's head from Perros. Christine is terrified and makes Raoul promise not to follow the figure. They argue, and Christine reveals her distress, but she refuses to explain.
