Silver's Embassy
Long John Silver approaches the stockade under a flag of truce, accompanied by a man carrying a white cloth. He asks to speak with the captain, who refuses to let him inside. Silver climbs over the palisade and sits outside the log-house. He offers terms: if the loyal party gives him the chart, they will be allowed to leave safely or be taken aboard the ship. The captain rejects the terms, telling Silver that he will be hanged. Silver leaves, vowing to attack.
