The Captain's Stroke and Confession

After Black Dog's escape, the captain collapses. Dr. Livesey arrives and bleeds him, saving his life. The doctor warns him that rum will kill him. Later, the captain confides in Jim, telling him that he was first mate on Captain Flint's ship and that he possesses a map of the treasure. He fears that his old shipmates, including a one-legged man, are after it. He instructs Jim to go to Dr. Livesey if they give him the black spot, and promises to share the treasure with him.
