The Pirates' Raid and Blind Pew's Death

The pirates, led by Blind Pew, ransack the inn, searching for the map. They find the money but not the packet. As they argue, they hear the sound of horses approaching. The revenue officers, alerted by a boy from the hamlet, arrive. The pirates scatter, but Blind Pew, in his blindness, runs under the hooves of a horse and is trampled to death. The officers take Jim to Dr. Livesey's house.
