Stanley Uris's Suicide
Stanley Uris, now a successful accountant in Atlanta, receives a phone call from Mike Hanlon, who reminds him of a childhood promise to return to Derry if the terror ever started again. The call triggers a flood of repressed memories, and Stanley becomes overwhelmed by the horror of what they faced as children. He takes a bath, slits his wrists, and writes the word 'IT' in blood on the bathroom tiles. His wife, Patricia, finds his body. Stanley's suicide is the first casualty of the Losers' Club's return to Derry, demonstrating the psychological toll of confronting the past.
