The Second Meeting at the Library

The Losers meet again at the Derry Public Library. They share stories of their walking tours and the horrors they encountered. Mike reveals that he has been researching Derry's history and the cycle of violence. The group's hands begin to bleed spontaneously, re-opening the scars from their childhood blood oath. They form a circle and experience a surge of power, causing doors to slam and a typewriter to type 'he thrusts his fists against the posts.' The meeting ends with a plan to go into the sewers the next day to confront It. Mike is attacked by Henry Bowers, who has escaped from Juniper Hill, and is seriously wounded.
