The Smoke-Hole Ceremony

Ben Hanscom suggests a Native American-inspired smoke-hole ceremony to help the Losers' Club decide what to do about the entity haunting Derry. They build a fire in their underground clubhouse using green wood, creating thick smoke. One by one, the others leave, but Richie Tozier and Mike Hanlon remain. They have a shared vision of the Barrens as they were millions of years ago, witnessing the arrival of It as a burning object from the sky. The vision reveals that It is an ancient, alien entity that has been in Derry since before human history.
