Dinner at Randalls

The entire party from Hartfield, including the John Knightleys, dines at Randalls. Mr. Elton is also present. Harriet is unable to attend due to a bad cold. During the evening, Mr. Weston announces that his son, Frank Churchill, is expected to visit soon. Emma, who has long been curious about Frank Churchill, is intrigued. The evening is also marked by Mr. Elton's increasingly attentive behaviour towards Emma, which she misinterprets as his anxiety for Harriet.
