Frank Churchill visits the Bateses

Frank Churchill and Mrs. Weston visit the Bateses to hear Jane play the new pianoforte. Emma and Harriet join them later. Frank's behaviour towards Jane is pointed and flirtatious, which Emma observes with amusement, believing it confirms her theory about a secret understanding between them.
