The strawberry party at Donwell Abbey

Mr. Knightley hosts a strawberry-picking party at Donwell Abbey. The day is pleasant, but Emma is distracted and unhappy. She observes Mr. Knightley and Harriet walking and talking together, which fuels her fears. Frank Churchill arrives late and is in a bad mood. Jane Fairfax seems distressed and leaves early, walking home alone. The party is a subdued affair, lacking the usual harmony.
