Adam Returns to the Farm

Adam, having escaped from the chain gang and robbed a store, sends a telegram to Charles asking for money to come home. Charles sends the money, and Adam returns to the Connecticut farm. The brothers are reunited, and Adam learns of their father's death and the mysterious fortune. Charles is tormented by the possibility that Cyrus was a thief, but Adam chooses to have faith in their father and accepts the money.
