Cathy is Found by Adam and Charles

A badly beaten and bloody Cathy crawls to the porch of the Trask farm in Connecticut. Adam finds her and insists on taking her in, despite Charles's objections. A doctor is called, and Cathy is nursed back to health. She claims to have lost her memory, but Charles is immediately suspicious of her.
