Charles Trask Dies

Adam receives a letter from his brother's lawyers informing him that Charles has died of a lung ailment. Charles's will leaves his entire fortune, over one hundred thousand dollars, to be divided equally between Adam and his wife. Adam is now a wealthy man, but the inheritance is complicated by the fact that Cathy is still legally his wife.
