Harry Maylie and Rose Fleming Marry
With the mystery of her parentage resolved and her name cleared, Rose accepts Harry Maylie's proposal. They are married in the village church where Harry will serve as the clergyman. They move into a rustic dwelling nearby, and Mrs. Maylie comes to live with them. This happy union represents the triumph of love and virtue over the social prejudices that had previously kept them apart.
