Oliver Adopted by Mr. Brownlow

Mr. Brownlow formally adopts Oliver as his son. They move to a house near the parsonage where Harry and Rose live, creating a close-knit, happy community. Oliver's inheritance, though reduced by Mr. Brownlow's generous decision to share it with Monks, provides him with financial security. The novel concludes with a picture of domestic bliss, with Oliver, Mr. Brownlow, Mrs. Bedwin, the Maylies, and Dr. Losberne all living in contentment near each other.
