Oliver is Found and Taken In by the Maylies

After a night of agony, Oliver regains consciousness and, in a daze, stumbles towards the house that was burgled. He collapses at the door. The servants, Mr. Giles and Brittles, initially mistake him for one of the thieves and capture him. However, the mistress of the house, Mrs. Maylie, and her beautiful niece, Rose, take pity on him. They have him carried inside and send for a doctor. Oliver, weak and wounded, is taken into the care of the very family he was forced to rob, beginning a new chapter of his life.
