Himmelstoss at the Front

Himmelstoss arrives at the front, having been transferred as punishment for his harshness. The men, particularly Tjaden, openly defy him. Tjaden insults him, and Himmelstoss threatens a court-martial. The company commander, Bertinck, handles the situation with understanding, giving Tjaden and Kropp light sentences.
