Poole and Utterson Listen at the Cabinet Door
Poole knocks on the red baize door of the cabinet and announces Mr. Utterson. A voice from within, which Utterson barely recognizes as Jekyll's, says he cannot see anyone. Poole insists that the voice is not his master's and that Dr. Jekyll has been murdered. He describes how the creature in the cabinet has been sending him to chemists for a specific drug, and how he once saw a masked figure that resembled Edward Hyde.
