Utterson and Enfield See Jekyll at the Window

During another Sunday walk, Mr. Utterson and Mr. Enfield pass the by-street and decide to look at the windows of Jekyll's laboratory. They see Dr. Jekyll sitting at an open window, looking like a disconsolate prisoner. Jekyll speaks to them briefly, saying he is very low and cannot go out. Suddenly, a look of abject terror crosses his face, and he slams the window shut. Utterson and Enfield are horrified and leave in silence.
