Morning of the fourth day

The Boy Finds Santiago

Manolin comes to the shack and finds Santiago sleeping. He sees the old man's cut hands and begins to cry. He goes to get coffee, and on the way, he sees fishermen gathered around the skiff, measuring the skeleton at eighteen feet. The boy tells them not to disturb Santiago. He returns with hot coffee and sits by the old man until he wakes.
