Elphaba's Visit to Colwen Grounds

Elphaba flies to Colwen Grounds for Nessarose's memorial service. She finds the estate in chaos, with Munchkinlanders looting and defacing the property. She reunites with her father, Frex, who is now old and blind. She also meets Glinda, who has become a wealthy and influential sorceress. Their reunion is strained, as they clash over the fate of Nessarose's silver shoes, which Glinda gave to Dorothy. Elphaba is furious, believing the shoes are rightfully hers. The visit is a painful reminder of her fractured family and her unresolved conflicts with the past.
