Beginning the hunt

Ged leaves a message for Ogion: 'Master, I go hunting.' He travels to the Port of Gont, but no ships are leaving. He buys a leaky boat from a fisherman, paying for it with a spell of sea-safety. He repairs the boat with magic and sets sail, heading west. He has no plan but to retrace his course and meet the shadow. He is no longer the hunted; he is the hunter. He sails out onto the Gontish Sea, determined to face his enemy. This marks a turning point in his quest, from passive flight to active pursuit.
