Learning at Roke

Ged studies with the various Masters of Roke: the Master Chanter, the Master Windkey, the Master Herbal, and the Master Hand. He excels at all the arts of illusion and weatherworking, quickly surpassing students who have been there longer. He asks the Master Hand about making a permanent change, but the Master warns him about the Equilibrium and the danger of changing the world. Ged is dissatisfied with this answer, believing a powerful wizard should be able to do as he pleases. This impatience and desire for power over wisdom is a recurring flaw.
