Return to life

Vetch sees the light fail and runs to help Ged, but the world is restored with a roar. He finds himself in the sea, and Ged floating nearby. He pulls Ged into the boat. Ged is dazed but unharmed. He looks at the new moon and declares that he is whole and free. He weeps with joy. The shadow is no longer his enemy; it was a part of himself that he had rejected. By naming it with his own name, he has accepted it and become complete. The quest is over.
