Kargish Raid on Ten Alders

The Kargad Empire, a fierce white-skinned people, invades Gont. After burning East Port, a band of a hundred Kargish warriors marches up the Northward Vale toward the village of Ten Alders. The villagers, only eighteen men and boys, prepare to fight with hastily forged spears. Duny, exhausted from working the bellows all night, realizes he cannot fight physically. As a thick morning fog begins to thin, he sees a chance to use a weatherworker's charm he learned from a wandering sorcerer. He weaves the fogweaving spell together with a concealment charm, creating a dense, magical mist that hides the village and confuses the invaders.
