Life in Low Torning

Ged takes up residence in a small house on a hill in the Ninety Isles. He serves the people as a healer and weatherworker, but they are in awe of him and keep their distance. He finds a friend in Pechvarry, a boatmaker. Ged learns to sail and works with Pechvarry, laying binding-spells on his boats. He spends his days studying his Lore-Books and watching the western sky for the dragons of Pendor. This period of quiet life is a respite, but it is overshadowed by the constant threat of the shadow and the dragons.
