Epilogue: The Narrator's Discovery

The unnamed narrator visits a friend in Funabashi and stops at a coffee shop run by the madam of the Kyobashi bar. She gives him Yozo's three notebooks and photographs, saying they might make good material for a novel. The narrator reads them through the night and decides to publish them as they are.
