Recovery and Trip to Izu
Flatfish and the madam of the Kyobashi bar visit Yozo in the hospital. Yozo, delirious, says he wants to go 'somewhere where there aren't any women.' After recovering, he uses money from Flatfish to take a trip to the hot springs of Izu, but he only drinks gin and returns sicker. He begins to cough blood.
