Love Suicide at Kamakura

Tsuneko proposes death, and Yozo, overwhelmed by his dread of life, money troubles, and the movement's demands, agrees. They spend the morning wandering Asakusa, and when Yozo opens his wallet to find only three copper coins, the humiliation solidifies his resolve. That night, they throw themselves into the sea at Kamakura. Tsuneko dies, but Yozo is saved.
