Yossarian's Deal with Colonel Korn

After being stabbed by Nately's whore, Yossarian is in the hospital. Colonel Korn offers him a deal: he can go home a hero if he agrees to like them and say nice things about them. Yossarian initially accepts, but after talking to the chaplain and learning about Orr's escape to Sweden, he changes his mind. He realizes the deal is odious and would betray his friends. The offer represents the ultimate temptation: safety and comfort in exchange for his integrity.
